Preschool

The Burbank First United Methodist Church (BFUMC) offers the Nursery School program as part of its ministry to the community.  

 

The school was founded in 1958 as a state licensed, non-profit program to serve the needs of the  Church and community and is offered by the Commission on Christian Education and the Nursery School Committee as part of the Christian Education Progam.  Tuition payments cover the operational expenses.

 

Staff members are professionals who are experienced, educated and trained in Early Childhood Education.

 

School hours are:  

 

Monday/Wednesday/Friday     9:00am - 12:00 noon

 

Tuesday/Thursday                9:00am - 12:00 noon

 

Monday-Friday                     9:00am - 1:00pm

 

School starts on August 31, 2009.  School policy requires that children be three years of age on or before December 2nd to be eligible for the school year.  

 

As of August 3, 2009, we still have a few openings for the 2009-2010 year, but they will disappear quickly.  

 

The BFUMC Nursery School is licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services.  The Nursery School is open to any child who will benefit from the program regardless of ethnic background, culture or religious affiliation.  We welcome children of all abilities and will make reasonable accommodations, without undue burden of unusual expenses or obligations, to met the requirements of children with special needs.  Children need to be toilet trained.
