Making Arrangements


1.   Call the wedding director (Deborah 818-841-0138) to see if the date and time of your choice is 

      available. Email the Wedding Director

2.   A one hundred dollar, non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date.

3.   A check for the balance should be made out to BurbankFirstUnitedMethodistChurch and given to the  

     wedding director the night of rehearsal.

4.   Be sure to get your wedding license early.  It is valid for 90 days. You must bring it to the rehearsal and

      give it to the wedding director.

5.   Following the ceremony the minister will need the signature of two witnesses.  One copy of the license

      is given to the best man to be given to the bride and groom.  The other copy is recorded and returned

      to the county by the minister.

6.  Use of an officiate other than our minister must be approved by our minister on an individual basis.

     Call the church office to make these arrangements.

7.  Three counseling appointments are required with the minister prior to the wedding.  Call the church office to schedule this appointment approximately one month before the wedding.

PLEASE NOTE

 

Ø       BE ON TIME FOR REHEARSAL!  Our time is often limited due to other scheduling in the church.

Ø       WEDDING DIRECTOR MUST APPROVE ALL TIME CHANGES!

Ø       Use rubber bands or plastic pew hooks to attach decorations to pew ends.

Ø       Petals may be dropped if a runner is used.  Runners may be attached with tape only (no pins or tacks please).   For safety reasons, no plastic aisle runners.  Vellum or cloth is fine.

Ø       For safety reasons no rice or birdseed allowed.
